HG&E provides canoe portage service around the Holyoke Dam (from Brunelle’s Marina) in order to make it easier for you to tour the Connecticut River. In order to utilize this service, prior arrangements are required and can be made by calling HG&E during our normal business hours (8:30 am - 4:30 pm). Portage is available Monday through Friday, between 8 am and 2 pm, excluding holidays. A downriver canoe journey is a great experience and we hope our efforts will add to your enjoyment of the Connecticut River.
