Whether you are a first time homebuyer or a longtime customer looking to save on your energy bills, HG&E is here to help.  Click the links below to learn more about our innovative energy efficiency programs, assistance, rebates, and tips.

RESIDENTIAL ENERGY CONSERVATION PROGRAM: Financial assistance at 0% interest for qualifying energy efficiency projects

REBATES: Rebates for high efficiency appliances, heating & cooling systems and weatherization improvements. 

CONNECTED HOMES PROGRAM: Earn $5-$8 per month for allowing HG&E to reduce your electric heating, cooling, or hot water use during various events each month by enrolling a qualifying WiFi-enabled thermostat, water heater or mini-split controller in this program. 

HOME ENERGY AUDITS: Free home energy audits are available for HG&E customers which provide recommendations for energy efficiency improvements that you can make to help reduce your energy bills.

HG&EV - ELECTRIC VEHICLE INCENTIVES AND EDUCATIONLearn about electric vehicles and incentives available through our new HG&EV website, including HG&E's EV charger program, which provides a financial incentive for charging your EV during specific hours (ongoing $10/month incentive and $450 bill-credit or Free Level 2 charger).  

AIR SOURCE HEAT PUMPS & MINI-SPLITS: Learn more about air source heat pumps, a highly efficient electric heating and cooling system, as well as available incentives. 

ENERGY CONSERVATION TIPS: Tips and tricks to reduce your energy use and save money.

FIRST TIME HOMEBUYER PROGRAM: 10% disount off of HG&E gas and electric bill for new homeowners in Holyoke

RENEWABLE ENERGY FOR CUSTOMERS: Learn more about how installing your own renewable energy system works in HG&E’s service territory

ADDITIONAL LOCAL AND REGIONAL PROGRAMS AND RESOURCES:

FUEL ASSISTANCE: Various local and regional programs available for qualifying low-income households to assist with heating costs.

HEATING SYSTEM REPAIR & REPLACEMENT PROGRAM: This program is available to assist low-income homeowners who have no heat or unsafe heating conditions by providing emergency heating system repair and replacement services. Please contact the Valley Opportunity Council at 413-552-1554 for details. 

LOW-INCOME WEATHERIZATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM: An average of $4,500 in funds available for full-scale home energy efficiency services including insulation and air sealing for qualifying low-income homeowners and tenants (with their landlord's permission).
