RESIDENTIAL ENERGY AUDITS: Free home energy audits are available for HG&E customers which provide recommendations for energy efficiency improvements that you can make to help reduce your energy bills.
FIRST TIME HOMEBUYER PROGRAM: 10% disount off of HG&E gas and electric bill for new homeowners in Holyoke

ADDITIONAL LOCAL AND REGIONAL PROGRAMS AND RESOURCES:
FUEL ASSISTANCE: Various local and regional programs available for qualifying low-income households to assist with heating costs.
HEATING SYSTEM REPAIR & REPLACEMENT PROGRAM: This program is available to assist low-income homeowners who have no heat or unsafe heating conditions by providing emergency heating system repair and replacement services. Please contact the Valley Opportunity Council at 413-552-1554 for details.
LOW-INCOME WEATHERIZATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM: An average of $4,500 in funds available for full-scale home energy efficiency services including insulation and air sealing for qualifying low-income homeowners and tenants (with their landlord's permission). RENTAL NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM: This program provides low-interest loans for multi-family rental properties in Holyoke for various building improvements (up to $21,500 per unit). Contact OneHolyoke CDC for more information at 413-533-7101.
