As part of a commitment to help local companies use power more efficiently and cost effectively, HG&E can arrange for energy audits (customer is responsible for cost of audit) and provide technical services such as power quality analysis and rate analysis for its commercial customers. Qualifying industrial customers may be eligible for a free facility audit through the UMass Industrial Assessment Center, which is supported by the U.S. Department of Energy. Local commercial auditors include Energia and the Center for EcoTechnology.
By closely examining your energy consumption patterns, load size and operating requirements, HG&E engineers can help you optimize your plant operations to reduce energy costs, or offer suggestions about the advantages of primary versus secondary metering. We can even help you predict energy consumption for a new or expanded facility, or project energy costs for the coming year.
