Vegetation Management

The Vegetation Management Plan (VMP) outlines HG&E's planned vegetation management activities for its rights-of-way. The plan will be in effect during the five-year period of 2008 through 2012, in compliance with the Rights-of-Way (ROWs) Management regulations of 333 CMR 11.00 (see Appendix B). Management techniques may include a combination of methods, such as cutting, moving, and applying herbicide.  The VMP has been reviewed and approved by the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources Pesticide Bureau.
