Additional Rate Schedules The following are applicable fees that may be charged to customers. These fees are subject to change from time to time per Department policies and regulations.
Customer Charges
Service Fee: $30.00 per meter applies to establishing/transferring accounts
Service Fee: $10.00 per meter for property owner on Automatic Succession
Meter Testing Charge: $25.00 per meter at a customer’s request - if a problem is found with the suspect meter then there is no testing charge
Trip Charge: $10.00 applies if customer fails to meet us for a service turn-on appointment without prior notification to HG&E of appointment cancellation
Deposits
The Department may require residential deposits.
Deposits are required on all commercial accounts, unless the customer enrolls in a bank draft payment arrangement. Deposits may be equivalent to the total of the three highest estimated billings for a twelve-month period. Deposits are held on account until the account is terminated. Defaults on bank draft require a deposit to continue service.
Credit Fees
Returned Checks: $25.00 per check
Returned Bank Draft: $25.00
Service restored by Credit Department Monday-Friday 8:30AM-3:45PM: $25.00 service fee
Service restored by Credit Department after 3:45PM weekdays or anytime Saturday or Sunday: $50.00 service fee
Service restored by an outside crew: $75.00 service fee
