New Gas Service Incentives
Tired of the hassles and expense of heating your home with oil? Clean burning natural gas is probably available at your home, and installation is just a phone call away. New natural gas service customers receive the following:

- free installation (up to a $1500 value)
- interest free assistance up to $5,000 under our Homeowner’s Assistance Program

Residential Energy Conservation Program
The HG&E Residential Energy Conservation Program can provide homeowners with the money they need to make energy-saving improvements to their homes.

This program:
• Provides up to $5,000 in 0% interest assistance for single family homes
• Provides up to $10,000 in 0% interest assistance for owner-occupied multifamily dwellings with 4 or fewer units with a maximum assistance level of $5,000 per unit
• Is repayable over up to 5 years
• Conveniently places repayment charges on your monthly HG&E bill

• Gas Fired Steam Boilers
• Gas Fired Hot Water Boilers

• Wall insulation
• Energy Star Replacement Windows and Doors

First-time
Homeowner Program
Thinking about moving to Holyoke? We’d like to make your decision easier through our first time homeowner discount program. New home buyers who come to Holyoke receive additional savings off their utility bills through a multi-year discount program. Here are the details:

Take an additional 10% off your gas & electric bill for your first three years of home ownership.

Please note that these discounts are in addition to and expire each month in conjunction with your 10% prompt payment discount. Contact our customer service department at 536-9300 to learn more, and let us welcome you to the Holyoke Gas & Electric family.

Commercial
Assistance Program
Our Commercial Assistance Program can help finance your business projects that include energy efficient lighting, variable speed motors and heating equipment. The assistance is interest-free and can be repaid over up to a five year period.

This program also offers assistance to the owners of multi-family investment properities of 5 or more units, up to a maximum level of $20,000 ($2500 maximum per unit)

Please note that certain restrictions apply and Commission approval is required for any amount over $5,000.

Economic Development Discounts
If you’re thinking of starting a new business, relocating to Holyoke, or expanding your existing business in Holyoke, we have some programs to help make your decision a little easier.

We offer special Economic Development Discount rates to qualifying companies for a period of three years. These same companies can, should they continue to expand, reapply for another three year term of discounts on the new portion of their energy load. These discounts apply to electric, gas and steam services.

Electric & Gas Services
Take an additional 10% off your gas & electric bill for three years.

Steam Service
Take an additional 10% off the non-fuel portion of your steam bill for three years.
Note: Steam discounts are applied to base rate and minimum charges only, not to fuel or gas surcharges.
